Adolescent Dog Snapped At Baby

I wrote to you some months ago and never write once more, this because I did not have any downside with my dog until now and this is often case of keeping the dog or giving her away.
Last week the dog (nine months currently), growled to my 2 year previous daughter and to my wife too when she tried to correct her when the action. They were watching TV and it looks like my daughter approached her face to the dog, she has done this before without this sort of reaction and last night she pet her on her back and also the dog pull her lips up like if she was ready to bite.
She never growls to anyone and she is terribly friendly and some times very submissive with individuals and different dogs.
I’m thinking that this is often something to do with my daughter’s stature, she is a dwarf and I assume the dog looks at her as lower level as a result of she is truly smaller than the dog.
I read the book making an attempt to seek out one thing to try to to however I see you recommend a professional advice.
I do not wish to risk the safety of my daughter or wife, if there is one thing I can attempt that you just suggest I will appreciate.

I would take care concerning letting your daughter be round the dog at this age, however… I wouldn’t recommend obtaining rid of the dog if…
1. You acknowledge that a lot of than seemingly, based on what you’ve told me, you do not have a unhealthy dog. What you have seen is terribly common amongst young dogs. They’re reaching adolescents and are testing out their position within the pack. They are experimenting with new behaviors to see how much response it will elicit from the rest of the pack. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU SHOULD ENDANGER YOUR CHILD, but rather that you wish to stay a very shut eye on the two in any respect times.
She’ll probably do that behavior a couple more times. When it happens, it must be met with a no-nonsense, extraordinarily firm correction. (See page 45 and page 174) You want to “psych” her into believing that if she tries to harm you or any alternative member of the pack again, then you may kill her. Build her never, EVER wish to even THINK about attempting such a behavior again.
2. Let me repeat, this can be a terribly common behavior amongst young dogs. But, your kid’s safety comes first. I would not let a young child of this age be in direct contact with a dog, period. No matter the dog.
